Tour Reviews
Just received it today and spent about an hour outdoors trying it out. I have excellent optics to compare it to — example: a very expensive pair of Steiner Marine Commander XP 7×50 binocs. The Zen-Ray 8×42 monocular is everything I hoped it would be. The optics appear perfect to me. Resolution is superb. I even like the focus adjustment ring. The lens caps are an incredibly poor fit and barely stay on against gravity — they fall off the moment you handle the monocular.
This is a very solid. easy to us, large monocular. Think of one half the size of a full size binocular. This item is to large and heavy to hang comfortable from ones neck which is why I think there is a very nice wrist strap attached. This item is too large to comfortably hold in a pocket. I find the rubber lens caps functional but not very useful, and I suspect they are easy to loose in the field. Comes with a very functional nylon case. Overall a great value for someone who doesn’t mind the large size.
