I have both the Tecsun PL 660 and the Tecsun GR-88P I have to say for the frequency covered the GR-88P seems to be the better radio, The GR-88 picks up more stations on SW frequencies that the PL 660 does when it covers the same frequencies. and I have the extension antenna plugged into the PL 660. You do have to realize the PL 660 does have the ability of wider frequency coverage than the GR-88P.
I’m very impressed with this radio. My husband said we needed one of these and at first I thought OK but we already have our little battery operated radio for emergencies and then I remembered that we have kids and there are never batteries in our radio. So now, problem solved, no batteries needed.
